So I just got back from the Bayside show at The Crazy Donkey, and it was awesome to say the least. I had only been to a live Bayside show almost 2 yrs ago and I only went then more as courtesy for those who invited me than for love of the actual group. But I was very excited about this show, because now they're pretty much the only band I listen to. It was truly an awesome night. Jetlag Gemini and Punchline were really good opening bands. (On a side note, the lead singer of Punchline is a really nice guy. Glad we bought a CD from him) We found a couch so I didn't have to stand all night and once Bayside came on, it served the added purpose of being an elevated surface from which to see the band. All would have been good, if not for these two drunken bitches who decided to overtake said couch and proceeded to basically grind my leg for the entire length of the concert. Maybe she thought it was Kasey's knee. And yelling "I will suck your dick for free," at them? Seriously?!? Cause you get paid for it otherwise? Oh well, she'll probably get herpes at some point, if she hasn't already.
After the show, I got to meet most of the guys. Anthony was MIA, as I've heard he's prone to do. While all of the guys were very cordial, I must say Jack is now pretty much my favorite. He, above everyone else, made us feel as if the fans are what it's about. He took the time to actually talk to us and introduced himself to us. As if I didn't know who he was. And upon finding out what my name was, went "Oh that song's not about you, " which I had to find hilarious. It was really cool to meet him.
Wednesday, I am going to go see Uncreation, which I'm really looking forward to because I've never seen anyone I know play live music. Should be fun
